Whether you love them, hate them, or can’t escape them, there is no denying the newfound relationship between Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. There has been some speculation about the exact timeline of their relationship. At first, they were just getting to know each other, but now seem to be full-on official. Here are the deets.
Inner Circle
The pair first made headlines when Kelce expressed on the “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason, that he was disappointed he couldn’t give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it before seeing her perform on the Eras Tour. Fast forward, Swift breaks the Internet by attending his game in September. It seemed the pair had gone from just getting to know each other, to fully integrating their inner circles. First, Taylor took Brittnay Mahomes, wife of Cheifs player Patrick Mahomes and close friend to Kelce out to dinner in New York with her close friends Blake Lively, Sophie Turner, and more. Then, in Kansas City, Taylor is seen leaving Kelce’s house with a group of his friends and family, headed to the game. Swift also attended an after-party with the team.
Fast forward to their first PDA picture, they are seen holding hands headed out to dinner, and making a surprise appearance on SNL. These pictures confirmed a lot, but not everything.
The Kiss
This past Sunday, Taylor attended yet another Cheifs game. After the game, a picture posted by @Chariah_ on Instagram, another girlfriend of a player on the team, showed Taylor planting a kiss on Travis’s cheek. This is a big deal because Taylor has not posed for a social media picture with a spouse since Calvin Harris. With long-time boyfriend Joe Alwyn, they preferred to keep things private. Taylor’s openness with this relationship says a lot. Only time will tell!
